Massage Therapy

What makes your massage approach different from a standard relaxation massage?
My massage work is not just about relaxation—it’s an interactive, experiential process. I work with your body's real-time responses, adjusting techniques based on what we discover together. Every session is unique, because your body is always changing.

I’ve never had a massage before. What should I expect?
Before we begin, we’ll briefly discuss any tension, pain, or areas of focus. During the session, I encourage you to stay aware of how your body responds—breath, sensation, emotion. You can always communicate if something feels too intense or if you'd like to explore a certain area more.

Do I need to undress completely for a massage?
Your comfort is the priority. You can undress to your level of comfort. I use professional draping techniques to ensure you feel safe and covered at all times.

Can massage bring up emotions?
Yes, sometimes! The body holds onto stress, tension, and even emotional memories. Some people feel deep relaxation, while others might feel a release of emotions during or after the session. That’s completely normal—it’s part of your body’s healing process.

Do you use a specific massage technique?
Rather than following a rigid protocol, I combine different approaches (deep tissue, myofascial release, osteopathy, etc.), depending on what works best for your body. Each session is an exploration.

Gestalt Therapy FAQs

What is Gestalt Therapy?
Gestalt Therapy is an experiential, present-moment approach to healing. Rather than just talking about problems, we explore what is happening right now in your body, emotions, and thoughts. You might be invited to notice sensations, engage in movement, or experiment with new ways of expressing yourself.

How is Gestalt different from traditional talk therapy?
Unlike traditional talk therapy, which focuses on analyzing the past, Gestalt Therapy works with your present-moment experience. Instead of just thinking about problems, we explore how they show up in your body and interactions—allowing for real-time shifts in awareness and behavior.

What does ‘experimenting’ in therapy mean?
Experimentation means trying out new ways of being, feeling, or expressing yourself in a safe space. This could be through movement, role-play, changing how you speak or breathe, or noticing body sensations. It’s not about performing—it’s about discovering what feels authentic. No experiment is ever “wrong” because it’s all about learning.

Do I need to prepare anything before a Gestalt Therapy session?
No preparation is needed. Just come as you are. Gestalt is about meeting yourself in the present moment, so we work with whatever is happening for you—physically, emotionally, or mentally—right now.
